Glittr is a program to inspire and encourage teenage girls in Romania as they grow in their faith.
Glittr is for girls ages 13-18 and is led by women that aim to honor Christ as they offer support and guidance. As women, we all remember what life was like as a teenage girl. Adolescence brings its own stress and unique pressures.
Our heart is to model what it means to be women of God and for each girl to know God loves them and has a purpose for their life!

We inspire and encourage girls through…
→ Monthly Events
We create an environment where girls feel safe, welcomed, loved and encouraged. We speak on different topics that are relevant to teenage girls today and help them learn more about God and how to cope with daily decisions or struggles in life. We address the topics in creative ways – music, videos, small groups, discussion, and speakers. It is encouraging to see girls from different schools, churches, or organizations come together and have fun while making new friendships.
→ Small Groups
A glittr small group consists of an adult leader or leaders and girls of similar age (ages 13-15, 16-18) who meet in various locations (church, home, community center, other). The group meets at least once a month (suggested weekly or every 2 weeks). This is a time for girls and women to connect and talk about the issues girls are facing today.
→ Mentoring
There are many girls that wish they had someone to help guide, encourage, and answer the many questions they have about life. As glittr, we see the importance for women to come alongside teenage girls in Romania and offer support, hope and love. This naturally happens in our small groups.
→ Online Christian Resources
Everyday we post quotes or scripture, videos or news articles that are encouraging and easy for girls to share. Our desire is to share more and more with each other, as we learn and grow together.

Why are you involved in glittr: I believe it is important to pour into the next generation and give them opportunities to learn and grow in their faith. As an older woman, I know what being a teenager was like and all the pressures it brings, so I want to be available to help and show them how God loves them and has a purpose for their life.

Why are you involved in glittr: Not long ago I was a teenager too, and I know the importance of having mentors and friends in your life. It’s my turn to do something now.

Why are you involved in glittr: I have always had a heart for teenager girls. In time, I have noticed that this time in each girl’s life can be very challenging and full of emotions. I think it’s very important for girls to have someone that can actually listen to them and their problems. I love being with the girls, listening to them, giving them pieces of advice when I can and increasing their identity in God.

If you could do anything, what would you do: Hmm, I think I would like to fly. I would get to my loved ones faster and I would go to the high skies whenever I feel like floating.
Why are you involved in glittr: Because I have a heart of a teenage girl and a mind of a grown-up! I like to spend time with teenage girls, find things about them and talk about small and important things with them. I like discovering their inner beauty at the same time they’re finding out more about themselves. I like the energy I receive anytime I’m near them. And also, I think God is calling me to be what I needed when I was younger.

Why are you involved in glittr: Because I was saved by God’s love and called to bring light and truth to this sinful generation and because I’m sure God put me through enough things up to this point so I can offer what I learned to others.

Why are you involved in glittr: I know how important it is to have mentors. I’ve had mentors since the age of 13 and with their help I was able to go through the teenage years easier. It is important for girls to know they are not the only ones who go through some things. I want to share some of my experiences with them and how God worked in my life during the teenage years.
